Sports & Recreation

Preeceville is well supplied with a variety of recreational facilities and activities, for both summer and winter enjoyment.

The Preeceville Skating Arena has an NHL-size artificial ice surface and state of the art sound system that provides a home for figure skating, minor hockey and senior hockey.

The Preeceville Curling Rink has three sheets of artificial ice, and an upstairs beverage room.

Playgrounds include the Lion's Park, a fenced area where no dogs are allowed; the wheelchair accessible school playground; new play equipment at the Sports Grounds; and a playground at 1st Ave SE and 6th St SE.

Tennis courts are located beside the arena. There are two official-size hard courts that are fenced, and professionally finished.

The Sports Grounds are home to a horse racing track that is used for chuck wagon races, chariot races and gymkhana.

The Sports Grounds are also home to many ball teams throughout the summer.

They house teams from T-ball (ages 3-6) up to Senior's slow-pitch and fastball teams. Various tournaments are held throughout the summer.

We have a local trap shoot club that meets down at the sports grounds.

Preeceville School provides an auditorium, outdoor basketball/volleyball courts, football fields and soccer fields for the community.

The Community Hall hosts karate every Tuesday during fall, winter, and spring.

MacKenzie's Hole in 1 Mini Golf is located at 339 Main St. N., and provides fun for all ages.

There is a beach at Annie Laurie Lake, located in the town. The newly-developed beach area and lake provides a warm place to swim, soft sand, and swimming lessons in the summer, ranging from Aquaquest level 1 to 12.
